Between federal, parent and private loans, students at Central Michigan University will borrow more than $150 million this year to pay for college, CMU officials said.

A six-story Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites is much closer to coming to Central Michigan University.
Lodgco Management LLC President and CEO Michael Smith said 80 to 90 percent of the lease has been agreed upon and he hopes to break ground in the fall.
The Board of Trustees gave University President Michael Rao full authority at its July 17 meeting to sign a lease with Lodgco and Alpine Holdings LLC, the developer of three to five office buildings that also will be placed south of West Campus Drive.
